Underground Movements
​Berlin 2016-2018

The project is a proposition to reconsider the underground metro spaces of M*****strasse (Mitte) and Afrikanische strasse (Wedding). Both districts hold significant stories of Germany's colonial pasts which several anti-colonial organisations have built awareness in the last 40 years. The series are designs for posters from the anti-colonial groups and activists activating for the re-naming of several streets in Berlin. The images are documentations from some of these public demonstrations, international activists denouncing Germany's role in genocide and forgotten anti-colonial monuments in Germany.
